Public Consultation on the Network Development Plan for the Distribution Grid 2025-2035 by Creos Luxembourg
Reliable and resilient electricity transmission and distribution networks are essential to support Luxembourg’s transition toward an energy-efficient and climate-neutral society.
The Network Development Plan for the Electricity Distribution Grid 2025-2035 (Distribution Network Development Plan - DNDP) presents Creos’ strategic vision for the long-term evolution of Luxembourg’s electricity distribution infrastructure, including high, medium and low-voltage levels. It covers a ten-year horizon, focusing on the reference years 2030 and 2035, and will be updated biennially to reflect new scenarios and policies, stakeholder input, and evolving technologies.
The document builds on the results of the Scenario Report 2040, which translates the policy targets from National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP) into quantitative projections for electricity demand and generation. These projections form the foundation for analyzing grid capacity needs and defining regional and voltage-level development priorities.
The plan is aligned with the Network Development Plan for the Electricity Transmission Grid.
