Do you need a connection to the natural gas distribution network for your building? Do you have a conversion project that requires a change to your connection? Create your connection request easily in just a few steps via your myCreos customer space.
The geoportail.lu website, the official national platform for geographical data and information, has been set up by the Administration du Cadastre et de la Topographie. A new data layer now allows you to see on a map whether a cadastral parcel can easily be connected to the natural gas network - click here
On a small scale, the cadastral sections are coloured according to the network operator active in each municipality. On a large scale, the cadastral parcels are coloured according to the presence of a low-pressure gas pipe within a 20 m radius of the parcel. A distinction is made between the presence of active and inactive pipelines (pipelines available but not yet under pressure) and the absence of pipelines.

In order to fully understand your request, you will be asked for information about your plans to build, renovate or modify an existing gas installation.
You want to connect your new building to the gas distribution network.
You want to change your existing installation.
The documents to be included in your application can be downloaded at the end of your request. All the documents below are essential for your application to be processed.
Full building authorisation (the certificate/red dot issued by the commune certifying the construction permission is not sufficient)
Extract from the cadastral map minimum 1:2500
Site plan minimum 1:500
Plan of the cellar for a single-family home or, in the case of a residential property, a plan of the technical room and a plan of the basements
Gas certificate issued by the Service d'urbanisme (for the territory of the City of Luxembourg)
A right of way must be provided to Creos when the connection crosses someone else's land or uses land that is not the exclusive property of the applicant (joint ownership).
Alugaz form - Notification of work on a gas installation
We recommend that you complete the application online with your installer. Your installer can also submit the application on your behalf.
Creos has received your request for a new connection. We check that your request is complete and technically feasible. If you have any questions, we will contact you.
Once your request has been approved, we invite you to arrange an on-site meeting.
During an initial visit, a Creos agent will take a detailed look at the premises to define the connection terms and conditions, agree a date with you for the intervention, and provide you with a description of the preparatory civil engineering work (connection trenches and wall drilling) to be carried out. He will then send you the connection contract and order form, which must be duly signed and returned to us before the work is carried out.
You are responsible for preparing the connection, i.e. making the trench between the gas network and the building's connection point. This civil engineering work must be carried out by an ALUGAZ-certified contractor in accordance with our instructions and as stipulated in the Creos installation conditions. All the necessary authorisations for work on public roads must be available before the work begins. Creos will then make the connection to the natural gas network on the date agreed with your contractor. The connection work will be completed with the installation of the valve at the building entrance.
The connection of the indoor installation to the gas valve (commissioning of the installation) must be declared to Creos by creating a request via the myCreos portal. We recommend that you complete the application with your installer. Once the gas installation in your building has been completed, your installer must notify Creos of the end of the work and request an appointment to fit the meter.
The installer must certify that the installation has been carried out correctly by completing and signing the certificate of conformity. The Creos agent will check that the installation is in order before the meter is installed. Once the installation has been certified and found to be compliant, Creos will install the meter. Your installer must be present when the meter is installed.
Your smart gas meter measures your gas consumption and your metering data is automatically transferred via your Smarty electricity meter to your gas supplier.
The main aim of Alugaz is to pool the experience of natural gas network operators with a view to harmonising the technical regulations and working procedures that apply in the trade.
Before starting the commissioning procedure with Creos, you can choose and contact the gas supplier of your choice. If not, you will be allocated the default supplier defined by law.
