What is the project of your client?

In order to fully understand your request, you will be asked for information about the construction project or the modifications to be made to your customer's installation.

Description of the construction/renovation project

New construction

Your customer wants to connect a new building to the electricity network.

Demolition of an existing building

Your customer wants to demolish a building connected to the electricity network in complete safety.

Building site

Your customer needs a temporary connection for the duration of a building site.

Moving the connection

Your customer wants to move the electrical box or cable connecting his property to the electricity network.

Renewal of the metering panel

Your customer's metering panel board needs to be brought into line with current technical requirements (TAB).

Increasing/decreasing the power of your installation

Your customer has new electrical equipment that requires a change in the power rating of your installation.

Adding/Removing additional meter(s)

Your client wants to develop his property differently and therefore needs to add/remove meters (e.g. for a residence a dedicated meter for charging electric vehicles or for a new housing unit or business).

What documents do you need to complete your client's application?

The documents to be included in your request can be uploaded at the end of your application. Depending on the type of application selected, you will be asked to provide some or all of the following documents.

Full building authorisation (the certificate/red dot issued by the commune certifying the construction permission is not sufficient)

Extract from the cadastral map minimum 1:2500

Site plan minimum 1:200

Plan of the cellar for a single-family home or, in the case of a residential property, a plan of the technical room and a plan of the basements

Certificate from the Service de l'Électricité issued by the Administration de l'Architecte (for connections within the City of Luxembourg)

You have just submitted your customer's application for a new electrical connection or a modification via your myCreos customer space. What are the next steps?

Check of the application

Creos has received your request for a new or modified electrical connection. We check that your request is complete and technically feasible. If you have any further questions, we will contact you.
Once your request has been approved, we invite you to arrange a meeting on site.

Pilot appointment

During an initial visit, we'll plan with you and your electrician the technical preparations for your new connection or modification. If necessary, we will draw up a quotation for the work to be carried out. Please sign the quotation and return it to Creos.

Preparatory work

You and your electrician must prepare the worksite as agreed during the first visit and in accordance with the technical requirements in force. Once the preparatory work has been completed, your electrician will return the signed completion notification to us. Creos invites you to arrange a second on-site appointment to check the preparatory work.

Control appointment

During the second on-site visit, Creos will check the preparatory work.

  • If it is successful, Creos will inform you of the date on which the meter will be installed and your installation commissioned or your connection modified.
  • If the inspection is unsuccessful, you will receive an acceptance report with a request to correct any preparatory work that has not been carried out correctly. A new inspection appointment must be arranged, as described in step 03.

Execution appointment

Once the preparatory work has been validated, Creos will carry out the requested work within 30 days.

The preparatory work must be carried out in accordance with the technical requirements (TAB) in force.

Inform your customers that they can choose their electricity supplier!

Before starting the connection procedure with Creos, your customer can choose and contact the electricity supplier of their choice. If not, they will be assigned the default supplier defined by law.
